# David Fish

When a company can afford to pay Dividends, it is on the right course. David Fish is the author of the U.S. Dividend Champions Information Service and The Guide to Dividend Reinvestment Plans. At the end of every month, Fish, a Worchester State College graduate and executive editor of The Moneypaper, publishes a list of companies that have increased Dividend pay-outs consecutively over 25, 10 and 5 years. He calls them Dividends Champions, Contenders and Challengers - CCC.

## Summary

Fish’s Dividend CCC list comprises only publicly traded stocks. These stocks must have raised their Dividends over at least a 5-, 10- & 25-year time span. Over such a long period, it is almost certain that the company has gone through several economic cycles, but despite ups and downs has been able to keep increasing distributions, which is a positive sign to Dividend CCC investors. According to research on the topic, about 10% of stocks that have consecutively raised Dividends over a 10-year period continue to do so over the following 20 years.
