Champions, Contenders and Challengers – the CCC explained
The dividend CCC list consists of publicly traded stocks, which have raised dividends for over a certain period of time. Most of the companies that end up on this list have gone through several economic cycles and kept growing distributions, which is the type of consistently positive feedback dividend income investors like in any market.
Research has found, that almost 10% of companies that raise distributions for a decade will keep raising them for the next two decades.
• Dividend Champions (Aristocrats): Stocks that have grown dividends for the last 25+ consecutive years
• Dividend Contenders (Achievers): Stocks that have grown dividends for the last 10-24 consecutive years
• Dividend Challengers: Stocks that have grown dividends for the last 5-9 consecutive years
